Yes, invoiceKit is completely free with no hidden costs, no premium tiers, and no credit card required. You can create unlimited invoices and download them as PDFs at no cost, forever. Since all processing happens in your browser, our server costs are minimal, which is why we can offer this entirely for free.

How is invoiceKit different from other free invoice generators?

Most free invoice generators require you to create an account, limit how many invoices you can make, add large intrusive watermarks to your PDFs, or store your sensitive business data on their servers. invoiceKit works entirely in your browser, with no signup, no limits, and no data collection. Your client names, invoice amounts, and business details never leave your device.

Is my invoice data really private and secure?

Absolutely. All invoice creation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your data never gets sent to our servers. We have no access to your company name, client details, invoice amounts, or any other business information. Your actual invoice data stays 100% private on your device.

Can I use invoiceKit for my freelance business or small company?

Yes! invoiceKit is designed for freelancers, contractors, consultants, and small businesses. The PDF invoices are professional, clean, and contain all the information your clients and tax authorities need — including invoice numbers, payment terms, line items, tax calculations, and your business details.

What currencies does the invoice generator support?

invoiceKit supports 25+ major world currencies including USD (US Dollar), GBP (British Pound), EUR (Euro), CAD (Canadian Dollar), AUD (Australian Dollar), JPY (Japanese Yen), CHF (Swiss Franc), and many more. Each currency is formatted correctly with the proper symbol and decimal conventions.

Do the PDF invoices have watermarks?

There are no large or intrusive watermarks. Each invoice includes a small attribution line in the footer, "Generated by invoiceKit", so people know where it came from, but there are no promotional messages or anything that interferes with a professional invoice.

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use invoiceKit, a product built by NexaDesign. This is a plain-language summary of our practices, not a substitute for legal advice, and it may be updated as the product changes.

Your invoice data

Everything you type into the invoice generator, company details, client details, line items, amounts, notes, is processed entirely in your browser. None of it is sent to our servers, stored in our database, or seen by anyone at NexaDesign. It lives in your browser's local storage so your draft is still there if you come back, and it stays there until you clear it or clear your browser data.

If you upload a company logo, the same applies: it's converted to an image embedded directly in your invoice inside your browser and is never uploaded anywhere.

Analytics we collect

With your consent (see our Cookie Policy), we collect limited, anonymised usage analytics through Supabase to understand how invoiceKit is used and to improve it. This includes:

Page views and which pages were visited
Whether a PDF was generated, previewed, or downloaded (not its contents)
Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop) and a coarse country location
A hashed, anonymised session identifier and browser user agent

None of this includes your company name, client details, invoice amounts, or any other content from the invoices you create. We have no way to connect analytics events back to a specific invoice or a specific person.

Optional feedback

If you choose to submit feedback (a star rating and comment, optionally with your name and email), that is stored so we can review it. Submitting feedback is entirely optional and separate from normal use of the invoice generator.

Third parties

Analytics data is stored with Supabase. If you choose to donate, payment is processed directly by Stripe, we don't see or store your card details. Neither service has access to your invoice content.

Your choices

You can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time from the cookie banner or by clearing your browser's local storage, which also removes any saved invoice drafts. Since we don't hold your invoice data on our servers, there's nothing for us to delete on request, it's already only ever been on your device.
